As I pondered over what I was going to call this presentation, the idea of bookend pedagogy popped in my mind. The more I think about it; I really see bookend pedagogy as a critical element of any successful lesson. How a lesson begins typically makes or breaks it in the eyes of a learner.

I am not a huge fan of collecting lesson plans and have not been for years. Regardless of where you stand on the whole lesson plan debate, the intent is what really matters. I know when I went through my coursework and teaching certification process this was emphasized in any lesson plan.
