Soon after, I began my first summer professionaldevelopment at a school in the neighborhood I grew up in. I don’t remember middleschool ever being like this, and the fact that it was mostly students of color gave me pause.
Seeing a Difference in Myself and Others When I got to middleschool, I was bused to a school outside my neighborhood because they had a GATE program.
