The stakes have become higher as changes in a globallyconnected world are far outpacing those in our schools. If not, then human nature will take over and you will make an excuse. There is always a great deal of discussion about change in education in order to better prepare students for success.
Last year we launched a blog where the students in Europe chronicled and reflected on essential questions, focusing on a dark time in human history. In a society that is now globallyconnected through easy to use and cost effective web 2.0 Some teachers even have their students respond to the posts each day.
This generation has a deep sense of globalconnection, which teachers can tap into. The teachers I coach say their students use technology to effortlessly connect with people across the world. But it’s important to honor their paths and resist the impulse to force them on the well-traveled road.
