Iceland - a short lived eruption

On the 1st of April , I was at the Lava Centre in Hvolsvollur, with a group of students when the peninsula came back to life again. The eruption started as we were there, but by mid-afternoon it was over. A small new lava flow had been created and Grindavik had been spared again.

Chattanooga National Park City

Following the successful campaign spearheaded by Daniel Raven Ellison for London to become the first National Park City, a lot of work has gone in several other cities to gather together a suitable case for badging as a National Park City. Chattanooga in Tennessee , has been recognised as North Americas first ever National Park City following a comprehensive peer review process coordinated by the National Park City Foundation, with support from Salzburg Global, and World Urban Parks.
