Promoting Literacy: Cultivate a Reading Culture

Reading logs are a controversial topic. One of the biggest complaints I hear about traditional reading logs is that it takes the joy out of reading when you are forced to keep track of what you are reading. I find that this is an added incentive to get those reluctant readers to buy in. I occupy the middle ground on this one.
