To activate their interest, I spent the first class period showing the Freedom Archives’ COINTELPRO 101 documentary. History I and II to 10th and 11th graders, respectively. In lieu of a traditional exam for one of my U.S. History I classes, I had them complete the Zinn Education Project activity “ How We Remember.”
