Poor schools are told not to wander too far from the standards, there’s little time for student questions and critical thinking. Let their dreams and longings be the starting point for lesson plans, not something that’s cordoned off or relegated to 20-minute enrichment. 2020 = 125,000; 2040 = 185,000+.
