Since the residence’s opening in 2018, 21 CSUF students have been given safe, secure housing with wraparound services provided by formerly incarcerated staff members who reinforce a culture of striving and mattering. The 31-year-old junior, who teaches classes at Ironwood State Prison on the side, had moved out in August.
