Earlier this week I spent an interesting day in Cambridge discussing the GCSE Natural History as a member of OCR's Consultative Forum. We had an update on the context within which the new specification will be appearing - this was similar to the OCR Geography Forum meeting that I'd attended the month before. or be opened this month.

Marvin Lopez is executive director of the California Center on Teaching Careers, which has plans to open a rural bilingual teacher residency program in 2025. Geography is another hardship for potential bilingual educators. He says that the challenges in increasing the bilingual teacher pipeline are multifaceted.

Nicola Warren-Lee led a session on the GA's Curriculum Framework for School Geography , and Sophie Wilson presented on a virtual fieldwork project completed with Maria Angeles-Rodriguez Domenech. The final session of the conference was by Emily Davies who talked about her work bridging geography and history. Then it was me.
